Join the American Heart Association for our 15th annual virtual Worksite Well-being Summit. Our panel of experts will discuss proactive strategies to develop a safe workspace and encourage personal advocacy, innovative ways to communicate with workers who are not office based, and supportive programming for workers experiencing menopause. For more than 100 years, the American Heart Association has made bold moves to save and improve lives, pioneer scientific discoveries, and advocated for healthy public policies in communities across the country. We haven’t done it alone. We reach our goals working with organizations and individuals who share our vision for better health. Our campaigns unite supporters with a shared purpose to raise the critical funds we need to ensure our work continues. 1. Encouraging Difficult Conversations
Workplace efficiency and culture is heavily influenced by an employee’s ability to comfortably and confidently express their needs. Whether they are discussions about disability support, gender affirmation, or other accommodations, it’s crucial that employees feel secure in initiating these conversations and that their outcomes will be productive. By providing clear resources and support, employers can make these discussions easier and more constructive. Beyond that, it is imperative that those needs are anticipated, and that employers are aware and acting on the diverse issues their teams may need support for. To ensure employees feel valued and understood, employers must develop proactive strategies that anticipate and address potential issues.
